The West Island Ship Modellers' Club (W.I.S.M.C.) is based in the western suburbs of the city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada and our aim is to provide a forum for ship modellers of all interests and abilities to discuss various ship modelling techniques, materials and resources and to share our collective knowledge of ship modelling in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Beginners or experts, everyone is welcome.
From wooden sailing ships to radio-controlled modern day
ships and racing yachts, if it floats, we'll build it!
If you'd like to sit in on a meeting or two to see what we're like, just show up at one of our monthly meetings and tell someone that you're "new" (that is, if someone doesn't rush over to welcome you first!) and you'll be directed to the right person for more information about joining the club. So feel free to sit in on a meeting or two ...and if you like the company, join the club!
